Security guard dies after weekend shooting at car wash – KTUL
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — A security guard who was shot over the weekend at a midtown Tulsa car wash has died.
Norman Huntley succumbed to his injuries around 1:30 p.m. Monday, according to homicide Sgt. Dave Walker.
Officers responded to the shooting near 11th and Sheridan around 4 a.m. Sunday. Police say a group of men left Route 66 Event Center and walked to a nearby car wash where a Mercedes was parked.
Security was notified that one of the men in the group had taken someone else’s property, and when security guards confronted the group a fight ensued.
Police say someone in the group began firing, shooting one of the security guards multiple times.
The suspect and his group fled while the victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police have released no suspect descriptions.
